TRIBAL DRUM MASSAGE COURSE
If
you are looking for something different to offer your massage clients this may
be it. Tribal Drum Massage works on the principles of rhythm and resonance. It
is an experiential treatment that works with deep vibrational energy.
It
can be delivered using your hands as your massage tools or if you wish to take
the pressure off your hands and add some uniqueness to the experience, you can use
the drummers tools of trade, or a combination of both. Obviously, the drum
mallets have extra cushioning over the head.
We work with tribal world music from around the
globe: African, Hawaiian, Celtic, Mayan and American Indian. This lulls the
clients mind into a different state where they are able to "let go” and relax. This
is a great treatment for male spa guests!
Tribal Drum Massage draws on the Resonance of Deep Vibrational Healing, and Rhythmic Relaxation. Working with Percussion, Sound, Vibration, Energy Work. Completed with a Tribal Hot Mud Facial.
Tapotement
and percussion have much in common from stimulating the nervous system and
lymphatic movement to vibration deep within the muscles. You will recognize
many of the massage techniques however it is the tools and choreography of the
treatment and it’s applications that will be of interest.
Tribal Drum massage can be delivered using the hands only or with added tools such as drum sticks, drum mallets, drum brushes etc. We will be teaching both methods. Thats why the tools package is optional. Plus you may wish to source your own.
The
differing rhythms and sounds will break the body’s circuits of resistance and
release held tension. The massage is completed with a colourful and relaxing
hot mud, tribal face mask
This is going to be an awesome day. New massage skills, organic food and use of the spa water facilities in a stunning wilderness setting. Accom nearby if needed. Stay over and enjoy the spa treatments the following day.
